PLANT'S HISTORY:

The tradition of non-ferrous metals casting production in Krnov begins in 1945, when in the former textile factory the firm Otakar Smid launched production of artistic bronze castings.

In 1948 the plant became a part of the concern STROJOSVIT and as its operation No. 03 bore also the name SNK Krnov. Gradually the production of castings from aluminium and bronze alloys, patterns production and casting machining was set up in the plant.

In 1996 the plant was bought by the company Casting Group, s.r.o. , that started investments to enhance the capacity of melting and stabilised the portfolio of customers. In 2001 the plant was purchased by its current owner - the company Spojene slevarny.
